Opened in 2019, The Twisted Tulip is a third-wave coffee shop and a purveyor of fine teas and homemade or locally sourced baked goods. We do what we can to match our passion for quality with our commitment to the community and environment. Our community has always been so supportive of us and we try to be thankful whenever we can and partner with local shops and creative people from Livingston and the surrounding areas! Come meet our friendly staff, we are here to help you learn about your coffee, tea, or food, or to assure you have a comfortable place to work, meet a friend, or relax.

We want and we try to do everything local, from our local Roaster, the fresh and local ingredients we use to our local partners! It’s in our capacity to show some love and support to businesses and people that are close to us. And they surely return the favor. Our community is always here for us and we have to give them back. For these reasons, we enjoy organizing events, fundraising, collaborations with local shops, artists, associations and charities. It’s not much but that’s a start and we hope to achieve even more in the coming months!

More than 80% of marine litter is plastics.
We keep compostable straws in house for accessibility reasons.
Plastic takes 20 – 500 years to fully decompose depending on material and structure.
We offer ceramic mugs and plates to guests staying at the shop to incentivise less use of single use products (ie. straws and plastic cups).
Our Square POS offers an email receipt to customers after their transactions and offer printed receipts on request.
We use paper bags instead of plastic to reduce single use material waste.
We use paper boxes instead of plastic to reduce single use material waste.
All our non dairy milks come in paper jugs as opposed to plastic to prevent more single use material waste.
We use reusable syrup bottles instead of plastic to reduce single use material waste and we make all our syrups in house. This reduces plastic waste that would occur if we bought syrups from a vendor.
We brew our cold brew by using all reusable brewing components to save on single use material waste.
We bake some of our pastries in house to save on single use material waste.
We offer these discounts to customers with reusable cups to incentivize less single use material waste.
We offer a growler refill discount to customers with reusable growlers we’ve already provided to them from a previous transaction to incentivize less single use material waste.
